Mike’s Truck & Line-X Bay Area just completed refurbishing a set of emergency bridges for the Union City Water Treatment Plant Emergency Bridges saved from Elements. Water proofing these bridges with one Line-X application permanently seals the structure from moisture and guarantees that these bridges will never rust. Never rusting means never deteriorating.
These bridges were sitting in their Equipment yard in Union city. The bridges had been exposed to the elements for years because the paint had already broken down allowing rust to soon take over. Re-coating these structures made economical sense over replacing.

Line-X fixes University of Santa Clara Team Bus Leak

Mike’s Truck & Line-X Bay Area permanently resolved a leak in the roof of a University of Santa Clara Team Bus.
The University of Santa Clara Team bus had leaked before and the solution was to apply caulking to the seam - you can see in the photos - the line that runs the length of the roof. To properly fix the leak, all of the caulking had to be removed and the roof scuffed. Then the entire bus was masked off to protect any areas from overspray.
Line-X is THE PERFECT SOLUTION for water-proofing because it is SIX TIMES more flexible than caulking and can be stretched 600% without failing. Guaranteed to not leak! PERFECT for the roof on a rolling, flexing bus or any RV roof repair.

Alameda K9 Car Receives Upgrade
Line-X of Bay Area was tasked with improving Rin Tin Tin’s office. Rin had a habit of tearing up the rubber floor weekly. He also liked the fact the rear portion of the front seat was accessible when he was bored. The solution was to remove the rubber flooring material and coat it with LINE-X.

Bay Area Truck Crisis Center - Mike’s Truck and LINE-X performs upgrade to Karl’s 2014 GMC 4X4 Sierra. Upgrade includes 6″ suspension lift, tires and rims, AMP Power Steps with LED lighting, custom LINE-X premium spray-in bed liner, and Magna flow dual exhaust with black tips. Total time Karl’s truck spent at the Crisis Center - 4 days.

Waterproof Truck Roof - Waterproof RV Roof

Brand new $60k commercial work truck and the ceiling leaks soaking expensive tools and supplies. What? Work truck roof repair is required immediately. This vehicle is out of commission until this is resolved.
RVs and trucks similar to this have roofs that are designed to walk on – for viewing or holding extra equipment. The roof area, introduces a couple new challenges.
Most important the roof must be a waterproof. Second, it should provide some slip resistance. It is dangerous to walk on a roof that is wet and third, with all the flexing an RV or truck is subjected to going down the road it must not crack or peel. Last, it should add support when people are standing on it.
Maintaining a waterproof, slip resistant roof able to stand up against extreme temp changes requires new technology.
To solve the leaking roof we used LINE-X because of the unique properties it presents. For example, excellent adhesion, elongation, and stability under harsh conditions make LINE-X the prefect product to seal and protect an RV or truck roof. LINE-X along with already mentioned properties will also bring stability and adds strength to thin metal sheets.
To solve the slippery surface LINE-X of Bay Area used “shark bite” that was fused into LINE-X. The additional grip makes walking on a wet roof do-able. This same technique has been used to coat Rollup Passenger Ramps for both Oakland and San Francisco airports. It was also used to coat foot areas of S.W.A.T vehicles, Crab boats, step bars, K9 Police Cars and Fire truck access areas.
The water leak on this work truck was identified at the support beam welded to the center seam running from front to the back. The entire beam was caulked with waterproof caulk to keep water out at the factory!
LINE-X Warranty Update

LINE-X Warranty is Lifetime. I think we have all had issues with warranty at one point in our lives in which the fine print becomes Large and Bold. Listen, I hate to tell you, but your item is not covered under warranty.
Let me move off topic for a moment. I purchased a boat and paid extra for the extended warranty on the motor. Long story short, the motor blows. Take the boat to the dealership I purchased the boat from for evaluation. The mechanic says the motor failure was caused by a bad valve seat. The metal fragments from the valve seat traveled through the motor and pretty much destroyed it. Well the fine print covered some parts of the motor and not THE MOTOR failing.
Back on topic - here’s a lifetime warranty story that means exactly that. If the bedliner fails its covered PERIOD. And it’s covered at any franchise nationwide.
This customer purchased his LINE-X in Nevada in 2007 for his 1987 El Camino. Shortly afterwards he moves to California and garaged the vehicle. Several months later he notices a small blister. this blister as well as others start showing up all over his truck bed. Thinking that he would have to drive to Nevada for repairs - he lives with it.
Now flash forward to April 2014 - this customer decides he wants to sell his El Camino and digs out his warranty and reads - Lifetime Warranty Nationwide! and calls LINE-X of Bay Area. I tell him to bring his vehicle by for an evaluation and pictures. I send out the photos and within minutes obtain authorization. Another long story short - I call the customer back to tell him the news. Listen, your El Camino is covered - drop it off when you can and we will have it done in a week.
